Ivan the mighty silverback was taken away from his parents when he was very young and was raised in this place called the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade. Ivan, the silverback gorilla, has lived in captivity at the Big Top Mall for 9,855 days by his own. He lives in his domain, and is generally content with his life. And the days that Ivan mighty silverback was in his domain he met some friends. One was an elephant that her name was Stella and he he met way more friends as well. But mostly Ivan thinks about art and how to capture the taste of a mango or the sound of leaves with color and a well-placed line.

I think that the one and only Ivan is a unique piece of writing because the book is kind of like telling you that gorillas can also do the exact same thing as humans can do if they put their mind to it and it is also saying don't give up there is always another way around this problem.
This book has reminded me about when I went to a zoo I saw a gorilla that everyone called the mighty silverback and he was the protector of the whole entire troop.  And this book is based on a true story. I highly recommend you borrow this as soon as possible.
